WVWC 2025 Kindness Angel

Marisol Lomeli  Always ready to give a helping hand. She keeps sleeping bags and other supplies in the trunk of her car to hand out to unfortunate strangers. 

WVWC 2025 Citizen of the year

Linda Freedman

 Role model of public service. As a teacher, she inspired her students. One of which went on to hold public office. Thanks to her, Walnut’s pickleball courts and attractive walking trails provide healthy activities. She is currently Walnut’s Mayor.
