The City of Walnut honored six women, including Walnut Valley Women's Club President Sharon Altman, who lead nonprofit organizations in Walnut.
WVWC 2024 Club member of the year
Karen Campbell
Was instrumental in raising $4000 for club philanthropic projects by organizing a Harbor Cruise & Dinner Drawing. Initiated and chaired a committee that wrote a procedure manual for all officers and project chair positions. Offered valued input to other various committees.
WVWC 2024 Kindness Angel
Yvonne Sevilla Loyal member of WVWC for nearly 20 years. Known for her charismatic personality and kind heart, she was recognized for a random act of kindness by single-handedly raising funds for a needy family by presenting a "What Color is my Personality" workshop. This was a fun event that was generously attended.

Shari Kovach
Wears many hats. She reaches out to other organizations in the community as well as serves on the San Gabriel Valley District Board of Directors.
